With their convoy out of fuel and the large munitions already used. The troops abandoned their vehicles and wearily made their way to this castle for their last stand. They were the last thing between the horde of dead and the towns beyond the hills.

The civilians inside the buildings thought they knew fear; hearing all the gun fire, then the guns fell silent!

The rifle barrels would be getting really hot and the troops would fatigue. Guns would start malfunctioning I would think.

Ammo would be a problem I think the standard ammo carry would be 2,310,000. That is a little over 2 rounds per zombie. Remember in WWZ the militaries of the world were low on resources due to small wars around the globe. HMMM like Ukraine and the mIddle East. However, with this many troops there would probably be an ammo dump in the base with more rounds.

If you redo this and put all troops on the walls, it would be really cool

This many soldiers would have heavy machine guns, grenade launchers and mortars. A lot of them.

Put all troops on the continuous walls, there is 1 or 2 sections. Have demolitions blow up the stairs to the walls. Only have rope ladders. Let the zombies come in through the breach in the wall, then all guns will be on them. To have troops firing over both parts of the walls puts all guns in action. I know this engine suffers from troops shooting through each other my plan would avoid that.

Ugh. Zombies winning by swamping their opponents is very unsatisfying.

The only reason the Romans won is because the Persians and the Goblins were too stupid to unite against them and spent most of the time killing each other. The Romans were just as dumb. If they had just stayed inside their castle walls and used those two apertures to completely negate the enemies' numerical advantage, they could have gotten out of this with barely any casualties. Instead, they rushed out into the open fields and got swarmed. It would have gone down just like Cannae if their opponents weren't every bit as stupid as they were.

Like your videos but you really need to be more attentive with the armies. Around the 32:52 mark you came across a group of generals that are just standing around. You need to click on them and have them fighting!!I realize generals won anyway but all troops to to be doing something

Very close indeed! The best thing to happen was not allowing the zombies to make it across the bridge. It kept them confined to a narrow space.

It didn’t look like the soldiers won. There were still thousands of zombies and only a few modern soldiers left.
